The 1000A and 800A clamp meters feature a large 4,000-count LCD with bright backlighting. Meters in both series measure resistance, capacitance, frequency, and continuity, and they offer a Fast Peak Hold, which captures inrush currents and transients. The units have an ergonomically designed double-molded housing, which can be used to perform one-handed operations, states the manufacturer. Both series measure AC/DC voltage and AC current. The clamp meters come with test leads, a 9-V battery, and a belt holster. Each 1000A clamp meter features a built-in noncontact infrared thermometer with laser pointer. This series of clamp meter has a data hold feature that freezes the data in the display and an auto ranging feature with a manual range override.
