Enron Will Not Give Documents To Senate Investigators
Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND), chairman of the Consumer Affairs Subcommittee of the Senate Commerce Committee, stated that even after a number of requests, the company will not give investigators information relating to approximately 3,000 partnerships. Enron is alleged to have used the partnerships to bolster its financial rating while masking losses that could range into the hundreds of millions of dollars.
