EnOcean Inc.: Wireless Sensor Transmitter

The STM (Sensor Transmitter Module) 110 harvests, stores, and runs on solar energy; measures incoming data with ultra-low power electronics; and transmits via radio signals. The integrated module makes possible scalable and continuously adaptable sensor networks that can sense and transmit data on temperature, gas, humidity, vapor, current, light levels, water, pressure, location, occupancy, and other parameters. The module is fully compatible with existing sensors and industry-standard networks, such as LON, Ethernet, group receivers, and central building controllers. It can communicate with multiple receivers, allowing flexibility in designing sensor networks. STM 110-enabled products can be designed for quick and easy peel and stick installation practically anywhere and can be moved readily as floor plans or monitoring requirements change. Features include fast wakeup cycles where sensor measurement and radio frequency transmission occur in less than four milliseconds, configurable signal trigger thresholds, and standardized data profiles and producer identification to enable crossvendor interoperability.
