Energy Buying Tips on the Web

Energywiz, Inc., a firm with experience in the competitive energy environment, offers a “Tip of the Month” via its website at www.energybuyer.org.

The purpose of the site is to help retail energy customers with tools and guidance on how to “navigate the stormy seas of competitive power purchasing.” The website developers believe that many end-users of energy want to see if deregulation will actually help them achieve real savings, but are unsure of what they are getting into.

The May Tip of the Month helped energy customers figure out if a consultant could help them, how much to pay such a firm, and where to find qualified experts in this field. The site also includes a state-by-state list of those who have passed a qualifying test to become Certified Energy Procurement Professionals (CEP) through the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
