Copeland Scroll® compressors in new 13- and 15-horsepower (hp) models for commercial air conditioning applications are available. They are obtainable for use with a variety of refrigerants including R-410A, assisting commercial HVAC contractors and OEMs as they prepare for the complete phaseout of new R-22 equipment in 2010. Features of the compressors include lower height, reduced weight, and a smaller mounting footprint. The 13- and 15-hp models represent an extension of the 7- to 12-hp Copeland Scroll compressor line.
