The company has developed an assembly system of frames, blades, and corners for the fabrication of volume dampers. The components complement its existing Side Glide® rail and bracket system. The frames, made of extruded aluminum, consist of two parts: a side and a top/bottom piece with a built-in blade stop. The blades, also of extruded aluminum, are 6-in. wide with preformed “V” bends for easy installation of bearing pins and secure closure between blades, says the company. The “hammer in” corners insert easily and are self-locking, the company says.
