Dec. 31, 2002: Zamil Air Conditioners Receives ARI Certifications

DAMMAM, Saudi Arabia — Zamil Air Conditioners (ZAC) announced that the company has been awarded Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) certification for its chillers and unitary air conditioner products.

ARI standards establish rating criteria and procedures for measuring and certifying product performance. In this way, products are rated on a uniform basis.

The ZAC products and corresponding ARI certifications received are:

  • Chillers: Air-cooled reciprocating and screw water chillers
Classic Series AWX, ASX-A, and ASX-B; cooling capacities up to 200 tons, 60 Hz — ARI Standard 550/590-98.

  • Unitary Products: Package units and central splits
Classic Series PX and BX/CX; cooling capacities up to 5 tons, 60 Hz — ARI Standard 210/240; And cooling capacities from 5 up to 20 tons, 60 Hz — ARI Standard 340/360.

The products have been certified by ARI through Intertek Testing Services/ETL in Courtland, NY. The certification means that performance capacities have been verified and tested by an independent laboratory and that they are accurate and the same as published in the manufacturer’s product catalogs.

Zamil Air Conditioners is one of the first manufacturers in the Middle East to receive ARI certification. The company says that it is now pursuing ARI, and also Eurovent, certification for its air handling units and fan coil units.
