Danfoss Inc., Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Division: Universal Thermostat

Instead of adjustment screws, the Universal Thermostat (UT) 72 is set with the large knob on the front of the control, with large, scale numerals. It is available for wall or panel mounting for applications including cold rooms, beverage coolers, ice cream makers, display fixtures, air conditioning systems, and heat recovery systems. With a capillary tube length of 10 feet, the thermostat can be used in short- and long-reach applications. According to the manufacturer, the high-impact, rustproof enclosure and adjustment knob make the control suitable for damp environments. The thermostat's setting range is from -20° to 85°F. The scale shows both Fahrenheit and Celsius. Reset is automatic, and the differential is fixed at 4°. The UT 72 has SPDT (changeover) switching capability with contact loads.
