Danfoss Announces EnVisioneering 2008

Danfoss’ John Galyen outlines 2008 EnVisioneering plans to a press briefing at the AHR Expo in New York.

NEW YORK - Danfoss used a press conference at the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigerating Exposition to announce the dates and topics for its 2008 EnVisioneering Symposia Series, “Breakpoint: Energy Efficiency at a Crossroad.”

The April 4 symposium being held in Washington, “Is The Tide Turning? The Future of Energy and Energy Efficiency Strategy,” will address whether the world has reached a tipping point on energy and efficiency strategy, according to DuPont officials.

The Nov. 7 event in Carlsbad, Calif., will cover “The Challenge of Innovation: Why the Private Sector Needs to Create a 21st Century, Energy-Efficient Built Environment.” This event coincides with the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute’s annual meeting. It will address how energy-efficiency technology “is creating novel possibilities - and positive return on investment - in the built environment,” said Danfoss in a statement.

They will be the seventh and eighth in the EnVisioneering series which is entering its third year.

In addition to the two “macroevents”, Danfoss also said it will add a series of regional micro symposia to the 2008 series. “Danfoss is taking the program to an even higher level, with a series of micro symposia designed to give stakeholders unique ideas and solutions to address energy-efficiency challenges to their terms,” said John Galyen, president of Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, North America.
