A four-way, ceiling-mounted, 2- by 2-foot cassette, fan coil unit (FXZQ range) is designed to fit flush into a standard 2- by 2-foot architectural ceiling grid. The extremely compact fan coil can be combined with the company’s VRV® outdoor condensing units - the VRV-S®, VRV® III, and VRV®-WII. Cooling capacities are rated up to 18,000 Btuh and heating capacities are rated up to 20,000 Btuh. It is quiet, with sound pressure levels down to 29 dBa. There is a vertical auto-swing function, which moves the discharge flaps up and down for efficient air distribution throughout the room. Any one of five airflow patterns can be selected between zero and 40 degrees and will be maintained during the operational cycle of the unit. Air can be discharged in any of four directions; one or two flaps can be shut for easy installation in a corner. One function prevents hot air from being discharged directly on the ceiling, avoiding unattractive stains that can appear with time.
