Courses Qualify For Credit

EAST PETERSBURG, Pa. - The Professional Service Managers Academy (PROSMA) program offered by the National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM) has announced its 2007 course offerings.

  After receiving feedback from the NAOHSM membership, the PROSMA program was modified to better meet the needs of the industry’s service personnel. An elective instructor development course “Train the Trainer” will be offered March 28-30, 2007, at the ICPA Technical Training Center in Cromwell, Conn.

  This course will be a two and a half day course geared towards those responsible for training personnel at their company. Attendees will be awarded 16 NORA CEUs upon completion. Online classes are now also available. Successful completion of two online courses combine to fulfill one elective requirement of the program.

  Recognizing that today customer service is of the utmost importance, a one-day elective course “Leading a Customer-Centered Oil Company” will be offered at the ICPA school in Cromwell, Conn. on May 8, 2007 and also in Albany, N.Y. on May 10, 2007.

  Students will learn why providing good customer service is important; how to implement customer service standards at their company; and how to establish a specific plan to meet or exceed customer expectations.

  Two PROSMA “Core” courses will be offered in conjunction with two major industry conventions this spring. “Supervisory Roles & Responsibilities” will be offered April 24-25, 2007 at the AREE Show in Atlantic City, N.J. and “Selecting & Building Your Team” will be offered in conjunction with the NAOHSM annual convention May 24-25, 2007, in Hershey, Pa.
