Core Enterprises Inc.: Refrigerant Charging Scale

The Accutools™ DS220R digital charging scale is ideal for HVACR service, including critical charging of small refrigeration systems, says the company. The scale also functions as a general-purpose weighing system. According to the manufacturer, the scale features a 220-pound (100-kg) capacity, 0.1-ounce (2-gram) resolution, and better than 0.5 percent accuracy under all conditions. It is fully programmable and sounds a built-in alarm to indicate a programmed threshold has been reached. The portable scale operates for 30 hours on four standard AAA alkaline batteries. The rugged cast-aluminum weighing platform sports an integrated carrying handle and houses the control module and 6-foot coiled cord for easy transport and storage. The control module has an integrated hinged easel that can be rested on a flat surface or hung. A nylon pouch with shoulder strap and accessory pockets frees the technician’s hands for climbing ladders to rooftop installations. The Accutools DS220 versatile digital scale has all the functionality of the DS220R, with additional features such as liquid volume measurement and parts counting. Distributor territories are still available.
