The Traceable® hot wire anemometer-thermometer has two miniature glass-bead thermistors that provide greater precision at low air velocities. The telescope probe expands from 9-1/2 inches to 3 feet for use in hard-to-reach places. Because the unit has no moving parts, it eliminates friction errors caused by rotating vanes. The unit features five measuring ranges in air velocity - meters per second, kilometers per hour, feet per minute, miles per hour, and knots (nautical miles per hour). Accuracy is ±1 percent full scale plus 1 digit. It also displays temperature in °F and °C from 32 to 122° F (0 to 50° C) with a resolution of 0.1°. Accuracy is ±1.5°F (0.8°C). The anemometer can be connected to a computer or data logger for monitoring results. To ensure accuracy, an individually serial-numbered Traceable Certificate is supplied to indicate traceability to standards provided by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). The memory function recalls the highest and lowest readings. A data hold button freezes the display to capture readings.
