“Contractor Connection” is designed for HVACR contractors.
The "Contractor Connection," located at, is an online, interactive resource tool designed specifically for HVACR contractors.

Designed as a resource tool to give contractors the knowledge needed to meet their customers' demands and grow their businesses, the portal provides access to the latest HVACR news, tech support, training opportunities, and Emerson Climate Technologies product information.

The online resource was introduced in January of 2003, and according to the company it now boasts more than 900 registered users and averages more than 3,500 visitors per month.

Key features of the site include:

  • A product information database provides product information from Emerson Climate Technologies businesses. Information includes product brochures, manuals, specifications, performance sheets, and installation instructions.

  • The industry section features the latest industry news and issue-related articles, so that contractors can stay up-to-date on industry and market trends. The "Hot Topics" area provides news and information on key issues such as refrigerants, efficiency regulations, customer comfort, and system reliability.

  • The education section provides an extensive list of current classroom-led training opportunities, as well as self-paced learning and resources for discovering industry certification options.

  • The tech support section covers frequently asked questions, online tech support, troubleshooting tips and "Answers from the Experts," a function that allows users to submit their own questions and receive personalized responses

  • The section named "Find A Distributor" allows contractors to quickly locate Emerson Climate Technologies distributors in their area.

    Another popular section covers the "Compressor Mysteries," a collaborative endeavor between The News and Copeland Corp., part of the Emerson Climate Technologies business group. The series of articles focuses on compressor failures - why they happen, who or what is at fault, and how they can be prevented.
