Computer-Based Training Simulates HVAC Operation

NEW BERLIN, Wis. - Electrical and mechanical engineers, facility managers, and building operations personnel can take advantage of the new start-up and diagnostic software and other benefits built into ABB's new ACH 550 series HVAC drive via training.

The self-paced program is available as licensed software in an interactive CD format, according to Dave Polka, training instructor for ABB Inc., Automation Technologies, Low-Voltage Drives.

Training begins with a walk-through describing how to unpack a drive and mount it to a wall. The training also details wiring and includes an introduction to the drive's control panel.

Two versions are available, one for unlimited use, and a second for 30-day use beyond the date of installing it on a PC. The CDs are available from ABB distributors.
