Two new pressure-sensitive tapes are available. The 340 is a two-mil (0.002-inch) aluminum foil pressure-sensitive tape with release liner. The foil and adhesive are high-performance materials used to meet the UL181A-P requirements. According to the manufacturer, it is recommended for use in sealing closures of rigid fiberglass duct systems. It is available in standard widths of 2-1/2 and 3 inches. The 360 is a self-wound polymer film pressure-sensitive tape designed to meet the UL181B-FX standard. It is recommended for sealing closures in flex duct and for sealing flex duct vapor retarders to duct board. The tape is available in silver metalized and black, in standard widths of 2 and 3 inches.
