CMX 2004 To Feature Extensive Learning Forum

John Williams, chair of the Canadian Mechanicals Exposition (CMX), has announced that the new CMX "Learning Forum" seminar program will feature over 40 educational opportunities for trade attendees at CMX 2004. The seminar program will be combined with an exhibition of the latest HVACR and mechanical plumbing products displayed by more than 300 exhibitors on the show floor.

CMX 2004 will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, March 25 to 27, 2004.

The show will also feature a new focus area called "The Mechanicals Industry: Past, Present and Future" and it will showcase such topics as industry heritage, skills development, and career development.

"We have an outstanding lineup of seminars planned to complement the traditional CMX trade show experience," said Williams, president of Deflecto Canada. "In addition to a broad spectrum of new products for the attendee to see, CMX will be providing learning streams for the residential, commercial, refrigeration, and hydronics trade sectors as well as special sessions on the building envelope, commercial services, and sustainable development."

The seminar program will feature topics on new technologies and how they perform, pending regulations and their impacts on the industry, new business opportunities, and government assistance programs.

"Global issues such as climate change and the need for increased energy efficiency are having a direct impact on the HVACR industry," stated Williams. "Everyone in the industry has to recognize this and take advantage of the resulting business opportunities. The CMX 2004 show is focussed on these opportunities. Our tagline sums it up: Learn today. Profit tomorrow."
