OKLAHOMA CITY - Only eight months after a tornado destroyed the company's corporate offices and manufacturing facilities on May 8, 2003, CMP Corporation has moved into its newly reconstructed building on the same site.

The new 120,000-square-foot building boasts improved, faster manufacturing equipment and inventory levels restored to their pre-storm levels. The company has also equipped the new building with a stronger and more secure storm shelter than the room that originally saved its employees.

"We now boast one of the newest manufacturing facilities around, allowing us to be more competitive," said Jon Croy, president of CMP.

CMP maintained its full staff of employees, and added six employees in the past few months to help with shipping and manufacturing.

"Our employees have been absolutely super from the very beginning," Croy said. "We have a fine group of people who have always met the task at hand."

CMP also noted that it appreciates the support and encouragement received from its customers. "We were very pleased with the way our customers responded following the tornado," said Ben Harrison, CMP manager. "Our customers like our quality and service, and were understanding of our situation. They knew if they needed something, we would do whatever we could to service their needs."

Harrison added, "All of us at CMP are looking to the future and will be as strong, if not stronger, than we were before the storm."

CMP offers replacement parts to fit all major brands of compressors, including Thermo King, Trane, Carrier Transicold, Copeland, Bitzer, and York. The company's parts line includes pistons, rods, valve plate assemblies, bearings, crankshafts, liners, oil pumps, piston rings, seal assemblies, springs, valves, and gaskets.
