The new GC (Genesis Compact) Model vertical cabinet unit has been added to the company’s line of water-source heat pumps. This unit is specifically designed for boiler-tower applications. The manufacturer states that this unit is replacement compatible with thousands of older water-source heat pumps. The vertical and horizontal cabinet sizes are available from 1.5 to 5 tons. According to the company, the heat pumps have improved sound performance by using a tray-mounted compressor/double isolation design.
