COURSE TITLE: The World of Green Heating

SPONSORING ORGANIZATION: National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM)

LOCATION: Springfield, Pa.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Presented by Dan Holohan, the course looks at how (and why) the German D.I.N. standards force Europe to be greener than the United States, why Europeans put the pipes inside the rooms rather than within the walls, micro CHP units changing the way the world heats homes and makes electricity, and modular hydronic components and square pipes. Other topics include the radiator as an art form, windows as sources of heat, radiant heating techniques in European “tract” housing, and district hot-water heating systems. All proceeds from the benefit seminar will go to the charity Oil Heat Cares.

COURSE TITLE: City Multi Service Course

SPONSORING ORGANIZATION: Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating Solutions

DATE: Jan. 18-20, 2011

LOCATION: Southborough, Mass.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the City Multi system. Attendees will gain a detailed understanding of the technologies used in the system. Additionally, an in-depth functional study of the system is conducted and discussion over the theories associated with properly applying, installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting City Multi systems. Concepts and theory are covered in the classroom and hands-on exercises. Static displays and fully functional City Multi systems are installed for the system analysis and troubleshooting exercises. Students can earn 2.4 CEUs/24 NATE CEHs.
