COURSE TITLE: The World of Green Heating

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Presented by Dan Holohan, the course looks at how (and why) the German D.I.N. standards force Europe to be greener than the United States, why Europeans put the pipes inside the rooms rather than within the walls, micro CHP units changing the way the world heats homes and makes electricity, and modular hydronic components and square pipes. Other topics include the radiator as an art form, windows as sources of heat, radiant heating techniques in European “tract” housing, and district hot-water heating systems.
