Topics include refrigeration load calculations, refrigeration psychrometrics, ammonia refrigeration system principles and best practices, properties of ammonia refrigerants, refrigeration cycles and cycle performance, introduction to advanced systems, compressors and compressor performance, vessels and refrigerant pumps, evaporators and condensers, and troubleshooting techniques.
