The B6030 BACnet/IP to home automation gateway is a new model of the Eplus Series of BACnet interfaces. The gateway allows one to connect a professional BACnet workstation to "no new wires" Powerline products from companies such as Smarthome Inc., the manufacturer says. The gateway is sold with the Smarthome Powerlinc II, which supports the second generation extended X10 protocol, including automatic command action verification. Units in the series communicate via an Ethernet data link, which is compatible with both building automation networks and traditional business IT networks, the company says.
