A nozzle-free, multiple-tube steam dispersion humidification system is available. The frame-like humidification system comprises a bank of multiple, evenly spaced tubes that provide instantaneous, evenly distributed steam. The frame is very compact, making it possible to install directly inside either existing duct systems or inside air handlers. The steam dispersion devices use hole-forming technology to extract the condensate-free steam from the center of the tubes. According to the company, the design renders jacketed tubes, expensive stainless steel nozzles, and plastic inserts unnecessary. Units can be custom designed in a wide range of sizes to address specific needs, allowing for infinitely variable tube spacing and numbers of holes per tube. Short absorption distances are possible because of the special design and the counterflow steam injection, the company says. The humidification system is available from any of the manufacturer’s companies.
