SYRACUSE, NY — Carrier Corp., a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp., recently reached an agreement to acquire Shollmier Distributing Inc. and Magnolia Air Conditioning and Supply, independent distributors of its residential and light commercial products, headquartered in New Orleans, LA.

SDI and Magnolia have been distributing Carrier, Bryant, and Payne hvac equipment since 1989 and the Tempstar brand since 1995. SDI and Magnolia sell primarily to dealers and contractors with distribution and sales locations servicing portions of Louisiana and Mississippi.

The 110-employee company has 2000 projected revenues of approximately $58 million.
