MoreThe company has expanded its line of air conditioners that use non-ozone-depleting Puron® refrigerant with the introduction of the Model 583B packaged gas/ electric cool unit. Available in 2- to 5-ton capacities, it is designed for residential and light commercial applications, including strip malls, restaurants, and classrooms. Delivering up to 81%-AFUE heating and 12-SEER cooling, the unit is Energy Star®-approved by the EPA. This is the first time a small packaged product has been granted Energy Star approval, says the manufacturer.
