The QDE series of Energy Star® qualified range hoods from Broan offer a total savings of 564 kilowatt hours per year. The under cabinet range hood features dual compact fluorescent 13-watt bulbs and an energy efficient 280 CFM blower that operates at 0.9 sones on normal (low) speed. The series is available in three finishes - white, black and stainless steel. The units provide proper ventilation in the kitchen, minimize accumulation of cooking odors and grease, prevent finish damage by reducing the condensation of acidic contaminants on cabinets, remove excess cooking heat and household chemical “outgas” from the kitchen; and reduce mold and bacteria build-up on countertops and cooking areas. Effective spot ventilation in the kitchen also helps achieve overall improved indoor air quality in the home. The versatile design of the range hood allows for vertical or horizontal discharge. The removable aluminum filters are dishwasher-safe to ease cleaning and help minimize call backs.
