BlueVolt, a provider of online learning management systems (LMS) for the HVAC, manufacturing, construction, and service industries, has partnered with Crown Boiler Co. to launch Crown Boiler University.

Crown Boiler University, powered by BlueVolt, is designed to streamline product installation and grow new sales by educating contractors, distributors, rep firms, and internal employees. Participants take courses on Crown Boiler’s extensive line of boilers, water heaters, and furnaces for both residential and commercial use.

“Crown Boiler is extremely dedicated to educating those using our products, and feel that online training offers a great way for contractors to train on their own time, at their own pace. We are very excited to offer online learning,” said Andrew Ensminger, media relations manager for Crown Boiler Co.

Using BlueVolt’s platform, learners can access training from one centralized location at any time, from anywhere, with an Internet connection. University participants can revisit training materials as often as desired in order to extend the learning process beyond a classroom.

University administrators can maximize their training program through BlueVolt’s reporting tools, such as completion percentages, quiz scores, and course progress trackers.

In May 2011, BlueVolt began developing state-of-the-art courses for Crown Boiler University. The University’s courses feature interactive learning materials, high-quality video, and custom illustrations in order to enhance learning and maximize course effectiveness.

“We’re pleased to help hydronic industry leader Crown Boiler transition to online learning with this new University. Elearning is a terrific tool to support Crown Boiler’s premium products throughout the company’s channel,” said Sharon Dunigan, BlueVolt account manager. “Because we continually update our platform, Crown Boiler University learners will always have access to the newest learning trends and techniques to improve learning, enhance job satisfaction, and improve on-the-job safety.”
