Dale Reeder, area manager for the new Behler-Young facility, proudly shows off the new multi-use building.
NEW HUDSON, MI — The Behler-Young Co., Grand Rapids, MI, one of the leading names in wholesale A/C and heating products, recently opened up its newest training center in New Hudson, MI. Several vendors joined the company at an open house for customers and the media.

Dale Reeder, area manager for the new facility, said the location is ideal for the metropolitan Detroit area — within 40 miles of the city. He said the 2,500 square foot training area makes up approximately one-fifth of the overall building, which also houses a salesroom, showroom, and warehouse.

“We can seat up to 54 people in the training area,” he added. “The class sizes vary according to the subject. We offer special product demonstrations and factory training for our Bryant dealers.

“Even though most of our schedule is planned seminars, we also can add more seminars as needed.”

Reeder noted the many electrical outlets and jacks in the floor, which allow students to hook up their laptops to the Internet while in class.

Christian & Co.’s Bill Stoll was at the grand opening, displaying Broan’s GuardianPlus.

THE VENDOR CONNECTION

One of the fifteen vendors, Christian & Co., West Bloomfield, MI, had a booth featuring Broan products, including the GuardianPlus™, a whole-house HEPA filtration system and an award-winning product that has drawn a lot of attention lately.

“The GuardianPlus got a lot of good publicity when it was recently endorsed by Bryant Gumbel during a live TV show,” said Christian & Co.’s Bill Stoll. “The IAQ issues make this a very important product — especially for fighting the mold problem.”
