Automated Logic Expands NYC and Jersey Branch Operations

KENNESAW, Ga. - Automated Logic Corp. (ALC) acquired the business of Building Technologies Group Inc. (BTG), an independent controls contractor. BTG designs, installs, and services building control systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities in the greater New York City metropolitan area and northern New Jersey.

BTG was established in 1999 to provide building owners with high-quality control, safety, and energy monitoring solutions. The company’s management team and its employees will continue in their respective roles, including Frank Del Vecchio, president; Kevin Kerr, executive vice president; Brian Hallowell, vice president of service; and James Dagostino, vice president of operations.

“New York City is the largest and most dynamic controls market in the country,” said Gerry Hull, president of ALC. “With the combination of Building Technologies Group and our existing Marietta Controls branch, we now have factory-direct resources and expertise on the ground to respond to the needs of this important market.”

“This is an exciting step forward for the entire BTG team,” said Del Vecchio. “The combination of ALC’s financial backing and its industry-leading technology is an unprecedented opportunity for our customers and employees.”
