The Revit platform for building information modeling (BIM) software applications has been updated and an expanded portfolio is available. One updated product is the Revit MEP 2008 (formerly Revit Systems). It delivers BIM for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing market. The integrated building performance analysis for sustainable design is available through a direct link to the Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) Virtual Environment. This provides reportable building analysis data, including annual energy requirements, whole-building carbon emission output, occupant satisfaction, day lighting, and thermal analysis capabilities. It is available as part of AutoCAD Revit MEP Suite. Other updated products include Revit Architecture 2008 (formerly Revit Building), Revit Structure 2008, and AutoCAD Architecture 2008 (formerly Autodesk Architectural Desktop).
