CHICAGO - The Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) of Chicago has selected Kathy McCauley as the first woman president of its board. She was inducted as president at the organization's annual meeting at the Peninsula Hotel in downtown Chicago. McCauley is vice president and chief financial officer of McCauley Mechanical Construction Inc., Bridgeview, Ill.

"This is a wonderful honor," said McCauley. "I've grown up seeing my family's involvement in this organization and all the friendships that resulted. I look forward to working with the association's helpful staff."

Established in 1888, the Mechanical Contractors Association of Chicago is the voice of the union mechanical contracting industry in Chicago.

"I congratulate Kathy on her new role with the MCA," stated MCA Executive Vice President Steve Lamb. "Her family has a strong legacy with the association. In fact, she is the fourth generation of her family to serve as an MCA board president. Her father, grandfather, and great-grandfather all held the honor before her, so I am happy to see her carry on that proud tradition."
