The new Kodiak Series 7.5-ton portable indoor/outdoor a/c unit extends the reach and range of applications for portable equipment, says the company. According to the manufacturer, the spot cooler cools larger areas with fewer units, allowing easier transport and operation while using fewer electrical lines. The spot cooler can fit through a 32-inch door. Design features include electromechanical controls, phase protector, compressor time delay, and electrostatic filters for enhanced IAQ. Rugged, yet quiet, belt-drive blowers deliver high airflow and can handle 80 equivalent feet of duct using an optional evaporator nozzle plate. The unit is prewired for use with a remote thermostat, allowing precise temperature control in applications where the portable cooler is positioned in one area and cool air ducted into another. The unit is available in two models for 208/230v/three-phase or 460v/three-phase voltage requirements. The operating range is 60° to 115°F.
