Associations for the Week: April 16, 2001

  • The United Association (UA) establishes a new department devoted to the hvacr service, residential, and plumbing areas. Donald House has been named director of the department.
  • Applications are being accepted for the PHCC Educational Foundation and Delta Faucet Co. scholarship programs. Both programs award scholarships to students enrolled in a plumbing-heating-cooling-related major at an accredited four-year college or university. The PHCC Educational Foundation will award four $12,000 scholarships ($3,000/year for four years); applications are due by May 1. Delta Faucet will award six one-year $2,500 scholarships; applications must be postmarked by June 1. For more information, call 800-533-7694.
  • The Union-Affiliated Contractors (UAC) announce new leadership: Malcolm Sweet Jr., Condaire, Inc. (St. Louis, MO) and Buddy Parkes, Parkes Mechanical & Metals, Inc. (Muscle Shoals, AL) were elected co-chairs for 2001.
