Associations for the Week: 12/18/2000 - ACEEE, RPA and Puget Sound Energy

  • Steven Nadel has just been appointed as the new Executive Director, effective February 1, 2001 by the board of directors of the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE). Steve will replace Howard Geller, who is leaving ACEEE next May after 20 highly productive years at ACEEE.
  • The 2001 Radiant Panel Association’s (RPA) annual conference will be exhibiting a new name this year, REX (Radiant Expo). The 2001 conference will be held May 9-12 at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, UT, and will is open to all members of the building industry.
  • With natural-gas prices on the wholesale market soaring to an all-time high, Puget Sound Energy (Bellevue, WA) has joined other area utilities in filing with state regulators to recognize those higher costs in natural gas customers' bills.
