  • The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) elected Samuel Hunter as president, Harry Mashburnb as senior vice president, Steve Massie as vice president, and Victor Weston as treasurer.

  • The Unified Group (Broadview, Ill.) has formed a board of advisors to oversee the group's business areas. The chairs and co-chairs of the board are Michael O'Connor, Kelly O'Brien, Woody Woodall, Sonia Nelson, Marc Mapel, Dave Nichols, John Sloan, Robert Oetjen, Michael Rosone, and Michael Sullivan.

  • The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced the winners of its 2005 Safety Masters Club including Dial One Aleyden (Des Plaines, Ill.), Temperature Inc. (Memphis, Tenn.), Energy Management Specialists Inc. (Cleveland), CHC Mechanical Contractors Inc. (Cookeville, Tenn.), and AirCo Ltd. (Hurst, Texas).

  • The Sheet Metal Contractors of Iowa selected Iowa State University students Aaron Brace, Chad Hotovec, and Jeffrey Soseman to receive $3,000 from the Ed Lord II/SMCI Scholarship fund.

  • The Arizona chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA Arizona), the Phoenix Sheet Metal Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC), and Sheet Metal Workers International Association (SMWIA), Local 359, are working together to provide instruction on various topics specifically related to the industry at a free seminar being held June 3 at the Phoenix JATC.
