The Model 1100 is a new, low-capacity, steam separator type of stainless steel humid-ifier, designed for use in sensitive environments where pure, demineralized, deion-ized, distilled, or reverse-osmosis water is used to generate clean steam, according to the company. The Model 1100 is composed of a drying chamber with a separate chamber filled with a stainless steel silencing medium, a steam jacketed distribution manifold, and an integral plug-type metering valve. It provides a range of capacities from 1.3 lb/hr (0.6 kg) at a steam pressure of 2 psig (0.14 bar), to 316 lb/hr (143 kg) at a pressure of 60 psig (4.1 bar), says the manufacturer.
