The Hydro-Star spot cooling system is a chilled-water air conditioning system that provides a high stream of cool, dry air to each employee's workstation. The new Superflex outlets allow employees to direct the air wherever it is comfortable for them. The hearts of the system are the high-pressure air handlers, whose main purpose is to move air through a ductwork system at a high velocity. The Deluxe Package Chiller (DCP), a glycol chiller, is capable of producing 44°F water, which circulates through a special water coil and the air handler. As the outside air passes over the water coil, the temperature is dropped about 25° and dehumidified at the same time.
