American Standard Sponsors American Lung Association Of Ohio's Clean Air Challenge

CLEVELAND, OH — American Standard Heating and Air Conditioning’s Cleveland-area distributor, Wolff Brothers, was the lead sponsor of the Clean Air Challenge, which took place on June 23 at Cleveland's Burke Lakefront Airport. An annual event organized by the American Lung Association of Ohio, the Clean Air Challenge raises money for and generates awareness of chronic lung diseases and the effects of air quality on lung health. More than 1.8 million Ohioans live with chronic lung diseases such as asthma, emphysema, and bronchitis, and nearly 15,000 of those people die each year as a result.

The all-day event included a 5K walk, 5K competitive run, and bike tours of 12.5 and 30 miles through Cleveland with more than 550 area resident participants.

"Like the American Lung Association, we too want to do our part in improving the air quality in our community," said Tom Rundle, division coordinator and product manager for Wolff Brothers. "Our air conditioning and heating systems help ensure the highest air quality in the home. They are also among the most energy-efficient systems available today, which improve overall air quality. Healthier lungs do lead to healthier lives, and we're pleased to support the efforts of the American Lung Association."

American Standard has been the lead sponsor of the Clean Air Challenge for the past four years. Other activities that day included a health fair, live entertainment, and raffles.

Wolff Brothers, in Medina, OH, supplies American Standard residential heating and cooling products to independent Cleveland-area dealers.
