The Air-Conditioning System Design Manual, second edition, is the second book in the Professional Series and is published jointly by the association and Butterworth-Heinemann/Elsevier. It bridges the gap between engineering theory and practical application to assist entry-level engineers in the design of air conditioning systems. The various stages of the design process (conceptual design, schematic design, and design development) and the role of HVACR systems design in each stage has been inserted. IAQ is now noted as a major design intent for HVAC systems design. Information on green design for HVAC systems in high-performance buildings and the commissioning process also have been added. The International System of Units (SI) is used throughout this edition.
