Alliance Starts New Initiative

ARLINGTON, Va. - Twenty-two companies have joined together to increase industry and consumer awareness of the latest technological advances in hydronic heating. The Hydronics Industry Alliance (HIA), chaired by Richard Simons, director, Residential Combustion Controls, Honeywell International, is a coalition of members of the Hydronics Institute Division of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association (GAMA).

A new Website, myhomeheating.com, will be launched this fall. The site will include basic educational information about hydronic heating for homeowners, architects/engineers, building and heating contractors, along with a complete listing of Alliance members with links to each manufacturer's Website. In addition, the site will include up-to-date information on the benefits and many of the applications of hydronic heating, case studies, announcements of trade show participation, details on I=B=R schools for training on hydronic equipment installation, and tips on new profit opportunities for builders, contractors, and remodelers.

"Hydronic home heating has really come full cycle," said Simons. "Innovations in equipment and system design have made hydronics a comfortable and efficient type of home heating."
