Alabama Power Announces HVAC Training Schedule

VERBANA, Ala. — Alabama Power recently announced its HVAC Training Center class schedule for fall/winter 2003.

Among the various HVAC classes are two- and four-day training sessions on “Apartment Maintenance and Service Training.” The program is available in two different modules and is being offered October 20-23 and November 17-20. The training is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of apartment maintenance technicians.

The course includes:

  • Module 1 — Blueprint reading, fundamentals of electricity, safety and meters, and test equipment;

  • Module 2 — Indoor wiring;

  • Module 3 — Appliances; and

  • Module 4 — Heating and air conditioning equipment.

    Other classes include “Refrigerant Recovery Certification Training” and “Compressor Operation & Service Seminars.”
