AHRI Instructor Workshop Scheduled

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), along with industry organizations and equipment manufacturers, will host the 13th annual HVACR and Plumbing Instructor Workshop, March 5-7, at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Va.

According to the association, the purpose of this annual industry-driven event is to provide instructors and administrators of apprentice, secondary, and post-secondary school-based instructional programs with information to help train the next generation of skilled workers in the HVACR and plumbing industries.

The three-day workshop will focus on the latest technologies through hands-on sessions from a wide range of manufacturers. In addition to networking with industry experts, instructors will also learn from presenters and each other about new and innovative teaching techniques and student recruitment tools.

The 2008 Instructor Workshop is sponsored by a coalition of industry trade associations, including Air Conditioning Contractors of America; AHRI; Council of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Educators; Heating, Airconditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International; North American Technician Excellence; the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association; Refrigeration Service Engineers Society; and SkillsUSA. The event will also feature more than a dozen exhibitors.
