AHR Expo Shows Strong Advance Numbers

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — With several weeks to go before the 54th International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo), to be held here on Jan. 14-16, 2002, show management is reporting that 107 new exhibitors have signed up since Sept. 11, and that the Expo has sold 96% of the more than 300,000 sq ft of available exhibit space at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

According to Clay Stevens, president of the International Exposition Com-pany (IEC), 20 of the new exhibitors are international, representing such countries as Australia, Kuwait, Germany, Hong Kong, and Canada.

“With several weeks yet to go, it’s quite possible we may have another sellout,” Stevens said.

Currently, 1,045 contracted exhibitors representing 1,369 companies are planning on showcasing their latest products and technologies to thousands of hvacr professionals at the 2002 AHR Expo.

Show exhibitors are also expecting a strong turnout among visitors. More than 5,000 visitors have pre-registered, which equals the 2001 event’s advance numbers at the same point in time.
