Aggreko Continues Canadian Expansion

FORT McMURRAY, Alberta - Aggreko, a leader in rental power, rental heating and cooling, and rental compressed air solutions, announced that it is continuing its strategy for growth in Canada with the addition of a new location in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The company said the 4,200-square-foot facility will provide storage for products, spare parts, and supplies, and with three staff based on site, will help provide quicker, more comprehensive response for local customers.

This is the latest move by Aggreko to expand its operations in Canada. In August 2008, the company acquired the Alberta-based rental power specialist Power Plus Rentals and Sales to support the oil and gas industries of western Canada.

“This new facility will benefit both Aggreko and our area customers,” said Donal Russell, operations manager in Fort McMurray. “The combination of Aggreko’s global presence, Canadian expansion, and innovative equipment make it uniquely positioned to offer the best, most reliable service in the region.”

Aggreko will supply the area with all of the company’s major rental product lines, including:

• Power generators from 30 kW to 1,500 kW;

• Temperature control units, including chillers, cooling towers, air conditioners, and electric heaters;

• Oil-free air compressors; and

• Refinery grade heat exchangers.

Aggreko also recently announced that it has moved its Sarnia, Ontario, operation to a new, bigger site. The new location provides 7,500 square feet of shop and office space.
