ARLINGTON, VA — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has introduced a new series of programs designed to help HVACR contractors expand their profits and control their costs. According to the association, the ACCA MemberTools™ program will provide members with specific resources and materials that can be used in their businesses.

“For over 30 years, ACCA has served the needs of the HVACR contracting industry, and today that means helping contractors of all sizes run more profitable, successful operations,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. “The HVACR contracting industry is the only industry we serve, and that will never change.”

ACCA MemberTools will incorporate a number of new resources into basic ACCA membership. The first three MemberTools resources are The Exchanger™, ComforTools™, and NewsTools™.

The Exchanger is a quarterly newsletter designed for the employees of ACCA member contractors. Each issue will feature articles on soft sales skills, general technical and troubleshooting issues, customer service tips, and more. The first issue will be distributed at the end of October.

ComforTools is a series of brochures and collateral materials, which can be offered to consumers by technicians as an educational tool. The brochures include such topics as indoor air quality, zoning, proper load calculations, and many other service applications. ComforTools will also be available in October, along with an accompanying website, www.ComforTools.com.

NewsTools is a series of online tools contractor members can use to develop and customize press releases to send to local media and promote their businesses. According to ACCA, this part of the program will be available in November.
