ACCA Announces Award Finalists

ARLINGTON, VA — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has announced the finalists for its 2002 Contractor Excellence Awards. The final award winners will be announced at ACCA’s 2002 Annual Conference.

Finalists for ACCA’s 2002 “Excellence in Residential Contracting Award” for companies with less than $1 million in revenues are: A Better Air Conditioning & Heating (Lovejoy, GA) and Corbin Comfort Systems (Lake City, GA).

In the category of “Excellence in Residential Contracting” for companies with revenues of more than $1 million, finalists are: Bay Area Air Conditioning (Crystal River, FL); Cropp-Metcalfe Air Conditioning & Heating (Fairfax, VA); and Olson Energy Services (Seattle, WA).

Finalists for the “Excellence in Commercial Contracting Award” are: Gillette Air Conditioning (San Antonio, TX); Seaman’s Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (Grand Rapids, MI); and Temperature, Inc. (Memphis, TN).

Finally, in the “Excellence in Training” category, which recognizes contractors with a commitment to innovative training programs, finalists are: Energy Management Specialists (Cleveland, OH); Entech Sales & Service (Dallas, TX); and Tri-City Mechanical (Chandler, AZ).

The ACCA 2002 Annual Conference will be held Feb. 27 – March 2 at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, FL. Winners in each category will be announced at events throughout the conference.
