What's New

ABB Inc.: AC Drives

The ACH550 AC drive line has an all-new control panel that is similar in look, feel, and functionality to a mobile phone. The control panel features two soft keys, which change functions according to the operating state of the panel. It has a built-in help button and a real-time clock, both of which are designed to assist in drive setup and fault diagnostics. The drives' 1- to 500-hp range and multiple modes of motor control provides users wide flexibility across the full range of HVAC applications, says the manufacturer. The drive also monitors energy consumption, running hours, or motor revolutions, the company states. The Start-Up Assistant software, available in 16 languages, is designed to guide the user through start-up.
