AAF-McQuay Names GM in Latin America

LOUISVILLE, KY — AAF-McQuay Incorporated, based here, has appointed George Calienes as general manage-Latin America for the company.

Calienes has an extensive background in the air-conditioning industry, and joins McQuay following six years at Carrier, seven years at Mitsubishi Electric, and three years at Daikin.

Included in Calienes responsibilities as gm will be managing the company’s Latin American office in Miami, as well as the company’s joint venture operations in Puerto Rico, and Mexico.

“George Calienes possesses a strong base of experience in the region and in the unitary and airside businesses, which will be a great asset in managing our Latin American operations,” said Ho Nyuk Choy, president and chief executive officer of AAF-McQuay. “The Latin American market is rapidly expanding and is an important growth area for McQuay.”
