A.O. Smith Water Heaters: Boilers

Genesis® boilers with inputs ranging from 300,000 to 750,000 Btu are equipped with an EMC-5000 Energy Management Control system now. The boilers with the control system offer two-stage firing, a premium-grade silicon nitride igniter, and an accurate, user-friendly system for monitoring and diagnostics, the company states. The microprocessor-based display shows all of the system's temperature settings, including boiler inlet and outlet, current tank, and heating loop temperatures. The diagnostic information is displayed in plain English instead of hard-to-understand numeric fault codes, for easy troubleshooting, says the manufacturer. Diagnostic information can be downloaded to a PC for remote system monitoring.
