A.O. Smith Electrical Products Co.: Motors

The 4-in-1â„¢ multiple horsepower replacement motor line now includes two new eight-pole motors. Stock number ORM5488 motor is a sleeve-bearing model, whereas stock number ORM5488B motor is a ball-bearing model. Both models operate at 1/8- to 1/3-hp and 825 rpm. These totally enclosed motors are capable of reversible rotation. They can be mounted via bellyband, thrubolts, or shell holes. The motors' short bodies allow them to be installed in various positions, including horizontally, shaft-up, or shaft-down. According to the company, the line of 4-in-1 replacement motors can be installed easily and quickly onsite for most condenser fan applications.
